TO ALL RESIDENTS OF JADE-LYNN APARTMENTS

Hi everyone!

We all enjoy family time. So to help all of us, we put together a small recommendation set for easy prevention of any issues to the provided equipment, such as air conditioning, shower and bathroom issues , hot water heaters. There are helpful and simple reminders for proactive care.

1. When leaving your apartment, it is best practice to turn your thermostat to 75. This helps in keeping your air-conditioning unit in ready mode, which will also save you money. It’s when you get home, you adjust it to a comfortable temperature. Remember, especially in the summer, 75 might sound warm, but it’s cooler than 98 outside. There is a great program to help you budget your money for your electrical bill. It’s called budget billing from FPL. It’s a free program so we encourage you to check it out!

2. If you’re going to be leaving for more than 24 hours, a good practice is to turn off the water valves under your toilet and your sinks in your bathroom and kitchen. This will help prevent any potential water leaking for longer times and also prevent damaging any adjacent apartments. If the valves are hard to turn for you, call the office right away.

3. Another good practice is turning off the circuit breaker to your oven/stove, and hot water heaters when leaving for more than 24 hours. This helps prevent any potential for any water leaks and fires. Just turn back on the breakers when you return. Remember if any of your smoke detectors are acting up you can them bring them to the office or let us know ASAP.

4. Remember, we’re here to help the best we can.

If you have any questions, please call the office.

Thanks,
Jade-Lynn Apartments
