Here is some great information from the City for Back to School
Back to School: August 11th
School’s back in session on August 11th. Visit the City’s website for some important reminders as we get ready to kick off the 2025/2026 school year.
2025 Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday: August 1–31
To help families prepare for the upcoming school year, Florida’s annual Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday is underway through August 31, 2025. During this period, qualifying items are exempt from state sales tax, including:
- Clothing, footwear, backpacks, and bags priced at $100 or less per item
- School supplies priced at $50 or less per item
- Learning aids and jigsaw puzzles priced at $30 or less
- Personal computers and accessories priced at $1,500 or less (for noncommercial use)
Please note that some items, such as briefcases, jewelry, and items over the listed price limits, are not included. For a full list of eligible items and exclusions, visit the Florida Department of Revenue’s website.
