SUMMER A/C USE AND CARE

It is important that everyone reads this message!

We all know its hot and the summer is not going to get any cooler.
Please follow these tips to help keep your A/C running efficiently and effectively.

Air Conditioning Tips for Summer Usage:

  • When you are leaving your home, turn the A/C up to 75, DO NOT TURN OFF,
  • When you return, set the A/C to desired temperature but DO NOT put it to 65 as it will only freeze the unit and then leak water into your apartment!
  • Keep items away from the filter to allow unit to “breathe”,
  • DO NOT run your A/C on the coldest settings, the unit will work harder in the heat and cause a breakdown,
  • ALL A/C service calls are placed the same day, sometimes parts are needed, sometimes we in other apartments helping your neighbour, please be patient as we get to the service calls as fast as we can.

We ask that you please follow these simple tips and help us help you keep costs down.

Todos sabemos que hace calor y que el verano no va a ser más fresco.
Siga estos consejos para ayudar a mantener su aire acondicionado funcionando de manera eficiente y efectiva.

Consejos de aire acondicionado para uso en verano:

  • Cuando salga de su casa, suba el aire acondicionado a 75, NO APUEGUE,
  • Cuando regrese, configure el aire acondicionado a la temperatura deseada, pero NO lo ponga a 65, ya que solo congelará la unidad y luego perderá agua en su apartamento.
  • Mantenga los artículos alejados del filtro para permitir que la unidad “respire”,
  • NO encienda su aire acondicionado en las configuraciones más frías, la unidad trabajará más duro con el calor y causará una avería,
  • TODAS las llamadas de servicio de aire acondicionado se realizan el mismo día, a veces se necesitan piezas, a veces estamos en otros apartamentos ayudando a su vecino, por favor tenga paciencia ya que llegamos a las llamadas de servicio lo más rápido que podamos.

It is important that everyone reads this message!

We have asked for everyone to do their part in maintaining your common living areas and laundry rooms. Below you will see a previous post. Read on.

Last week one of our laundry rooms had to be shut down and closed by the Hollywood Fire Department. What we found out was that the machines are being overloaded and that the dryer lint vents are not being cleaned after each use.

The LAUNDRY ROOM RULES and operation for proper use of the machines are very well posted.

Here is the LAUNDRY ROOM RULES again:

  • NO LOITERING, THIS INCLUDES CHILDREN AND ADULTS
  • DO NOT OVERLOAD WASHERS AND DRYERS
  • DO NOT LEAVE ITEMS ON TOP OF WASHERS AND DRYERS
  • DO NOT LEAVE ITEMS ON THE FLOOR
  • EMPTY WASHERS AND DRYERS WHEN CYCLES ARE COMPLETE
  • PLEASE CLEAN THE LINT BASKETS AND WIPE OFF THE MACHINES AFTER EACH USE. IF YOU SPILL SOMETHING PLEASE WIPE OR SWEEP IT UP.
  • PLEASE DISPOSE OF YOUR DETERGENT CONTAINERS PROPERLY. LAUNDRY ROOM GARBAGE IS NOT INTENDED FOR PERSONAL USE
  • PLEASE MEASURE YOUR SOAP. USING TO MUCH DETERGENT WILL CAUSE THE MACHINES TO MALFUNCTION
  • PLEASE RESPECT YOUR NEIGHBOURS RIGHT TO AL CLEAN & PLEASANT LAUNDRY FACILITY. THIS FACILITY IS INTENDED FOR RESIDENTS USE ONLY. ANYONE CAUGHT VIOLATING THESE RULES WILL LOSE PRIVILEGES FOR THIS FACILITY.

We ask that you please follow these simply rules of common sense and help us keep costs down by doing your part.

PROPERTY TRASH AND LAUNDRY ROOM CARE

Hello everyone!

As you are all aware, we walk around and inspect the common areas. When we do this we look to see if there has been improvement in keeping the property clean of debris and other trash. It is disappointing to see that many of you still walk over, drop, or toss your trash along the walkways, in the bushes, and within the parking lot. We MUST pay attention to helping keep our living areas clear and free of rodents and cockroaches. DO NOT PLACE YOUR TRASH OUTSIDE YOUR FRONT DOORS! The more you toss the more it costs!

We must also address the treatment of our laundry rooms. We work hard to keep a clean and operating space to do laundry. We ask that if you cause a mess, you clean it up. DO NOT LEAVE SPILLS OF ANY LIQUID OR POWDER DETERGENT, LIQUID FABRIC SOFTENERS, ANY BLEACH PRODUCT, it only makes it worse. And very very important, CLEAR THE LINT IN THE DRYERS AFTER EACH USE.

Please help us and do your part.

DO YOU LIKE TO LIVE WITH TRASH? NO? THEN WHY THROW IT ON THE GROUND WHERE YOU LIVE? IT IS TERRIBLE TO SEE JUST HOW MANY OF OUR NEIGHBORS THROW TRASH AND OTHER JUNK ALL AROUND AND NOT CLEAN IT UP. MANY OF YOU STILL WALK OVER, DROP, OR TOSS YOUR TRASH ALONG THE WALKWAYS, IN THE BUSHES, AND WITHIN THE PARKING LOTS.

TO KEEP AREAS CLEAR AND FREE OF RODENTS AND COCKROACHES, DO NOT PLACE YOUR TRASH OUTSIDE YOUR FRONT DOORS! DO NOT THROW YOUR TRASH OVER THE DUMPSTER DOORS! IT TAKES NO EXTRA EFFORT TO KEEP OUR PLACE CLEAN, SIMPLY THROW THE TRASH WHERE IT BELONGS!

THE MORE YOU TOSS THE MORE IT COSTS! ITS NO JOKE? THE CITY IS GOING TO FINE INDIVIDUALS AND PROPERTIES THAT CONTINUE TO VIOLATE THESE CITY CODES. PLEASE READ THE BULK NOTICE SENT LAST WEEK.

WE MUST ALSO ADDRESS THE TREATMENT OF THE LAUNDRY ROOMS. WE WORK HARD TO KEEP A CLEAN AND OPERATING SPACE TO DO LAUNDRY. WE ASK THAT IF YOU CAUSE A MESS, YOU CLEAN IT UP. DO NOT LEAVE SPILLS OF ANY LIQUID OR POWDER DETERGENT, LIQUID FABRIC SOFTENERS, ANY BLEACH PRODUCT, IT ONLY MAKES IT WORSE. AND VERY VERY IMPORTANT, CLEAR THE LINT IN THE DRYERS AFTER EACH USE.

TRASH AND GARBAGE AROUND THE PROPERTY

Hi everyone!

Over the past couple weeks, we have noticed an increase in trash/garbage around the buildings. Plastic cups, cans, loose paper, and more! What we have also noticed is that not only is trash dropped on the floor, but ignored by all that walk past it.

Please do not toss your fast-food bags, your cans, junk mail, or anything else on the floor, please take your garbage inside to throw away, and please keep the common areas clean from any refuse. The smallest things make the biggest differences!
